Amani Murray

Amani discovered a love for yoga at a young age. Her self discovery and natural healing path brought her to her first yoga teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in 2002. Through the ongoing and energizing passion for yoga and teaching Amani completed a 500hr training with an emphasis in the "Classics" track. Learning sparks more desire for growth and in August 2015 she completed her Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor certification. Her teaching style is both light-hearted and challenging, and she encourages her students to balance effort with ease and find peace and self-awareness in their practices. Amani has 5 kids, she focused much of her continuing education on Prenatal Yoga and is currently one of only a few experienced, certified RPYT teachers in the region. Amani has the unique ability to ignite, inspire, and uplift her students while maintaining the core teachings of the 8 Limbed path of yoga. She holds space for students to breathe, move, and evolve.

  • Power Flow
  • This is a fun, heat building, invigorating yoga practice for intermediate and advanced students! You will be encouraged to explore inversions, arm balances, and play with the boundaries of your current limitations. Temperature: 80 degrees. 

  • Fall Yoga & Ayurveda
  • As we feel the shifting of the seasons outside, we can physically sense subtle changes in our own bodies. Ayurveda teaches us that everything in the universe is connected, and that our health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to promote good health by discussing nutrition, herbal support, pranayama, and other self care practices for the Fall season! Be prepared to breathe, move, learn, and to rest in a peaceful guided Savasana.
